However, they can often seem intimidating—especially for beginners. In this workshop, Kathrin will take away your fears and guide you step by step into exploring backbends safely and joyfully. What Can You Expect Learn the foundations: An introduction to the anatomy and mechanics of backbends. Understand how your body works and how to prepare it effectively. Gentle Mobilization: We’ll start with simple yoga exercises to mobilize the spine, shoulders, and hips. Foundations: An introduction to the anatomy and mechanics of backbends. Understand how your body works and how to prepare it effectively. Technique and Support: Learn techniques to practice backbends safely and how to use props. Relaxation and Integration: Each backbend will be complemented with counterposes and balancing exercises to relax your body. Is this workshop suitable for beginners? Yes. Backbends not only improve posture but also energetically open the heart and boost self-confidence. As a beginner, you have the advantage of starting without ingrained habits or expectations.
